Diet By Blood Group


Weight loss, diets, diet gurus and buzzwords today. To a casual observer, these are fads which come and go with the season. But, for some health enthusiasts, they are fads which come and with the season. But, for some health enthusiast, they are a way of life. There are plenty of those who continuously search for novel ideas to stay healthy, keep diseases at bay and of course delay the ageing process.
In the quest for a chisled body, the diets which are rarer and uncommon are the best bet. There are a host of options to choose from – Atkins, Lymphatic drainages, massages, cell therapies. The latest is the diet according to blood group. The focal point of all diets is the right combination of food for the human body. What should be eaten, what should be avoided and what food if increased can actually prove beneficial?
This diet is based on blood group of the person, he is recommended a diet that includes what food to eat, what quantity and at what timing.
Group O, Universal donor
Blood group O was the hunter or the earliest of humans who was able to fashion weapons and use it for food. From Africa, they migrated to parts of Europe, India and Pakistan. So, even today their body is attuned to eating more meat as is their digestive system. Therefore, blood group O is recommended a high protein, low – carbohydrate diet. This includes plenty of meat and fish. They should abstain from dairy products, cereals and grains. They allowed list of food encompasses olive oil, eggs, nuts, vegetables and fruits in small measures. There is a definitive no-no to dairy products, grains, cereals, rice, bread and wheat. A high energy exercising regime should be followed running, aerobics, vigorous stretches. This helps in shaping up the body. Although the high protein – low carb diet is a popular diet programmed and not necessarily inspired by the blood type diet.

Group A
Blood group A is evolved from the group of hunters when they learnt how to farm and become agrarians. The livestock and agriculture practices changed the habits of the people. Climatic conditions resulted in lighter skin along with the need of assimilate vitamin D with the help of sunlight. Their capacity to digest huge amounts of meat was lost. Hence for Blood Group A, the predominant food for this type of blood group should have preponderance with vegetarian diet. Their food should be rich in grains, vegetables little of meat and diary products. Nuts, seeds, grains, bread, rice, wheat, cereals with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits thrown in. Exercise therefore, is more towards going back to nature… yes Yoga, meditation which further aids the body towards a healthier status.

Group B
A set of people gave up secured farming lives and moved in search of newer lands, becoming wanderers or nomads. Thus they came in contact with various kinds of food, which their body assimilated with ease, thus evolved group B, and ideal blood group, which almost have no restriction on food. A person with this blood group can literally eat anything.  Although, processed food and rich carbohydrate is a restriction. The exercise regimen combines the physical and mental like physically exerting games and hiking.

Group AB
This blood group benefits a modern day person, where lifestyle is the mix of the agrarian and nomadic lives. Hence for blood group AB, a rare one, the prescription is an amalgamation of food that is recommended for both Blood Groups A and B. Meaning a more pro – vegetarian diet with some amounts of meat, fish and diary products. Exercise should be a, mix of cleaning and energetic pursuits.
